If anyone caught the Bachelor last night (haha) that is exactly where I will be going in one week! Brad and the ladies were at Volcan Arenal in Costa Rica. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Now on to my rant about the Bachelor. I am guessing not a lot of people in our class watch it. The only reason I do is to distract me from two hours of homework on monday nights. Okay, I will admit it can be mildly intertaining.
However the concept of meeting the love of your life on a tv show that lasts a couple of weeks is a load of sh*t. The women are showered with gifts and taken on trips to some of the most beautiful and exotic places on the world. The "chosen one" gets a huge diamond on her left hand. It is like living in a fantasy for a couple of weeks...
... but all fantasies must come to an end. What happens once they return home to their real lives and the "honeymoon stage" is over? They could potentially end up hating the person they have agreed to marry! Followed by the tabloids going crazy and the embarassment of the world knowing the mess you are in.
Also, my rant would not be complete if I did not include how pathetic the women are who have been eliminated from the show balling their eyes out like they really loved this guy after a week of knowing him. Get real!
